ASME B16.20 Spiral Wound Gasket is made of thin metal hoop and non metal filler material that are simultaneously wound.

The metal hoop is pre-formed in V or W shaped profile, which allows the gasket to act as a spring between the flanges.
It is extremely popular due to the wide variety of available styles and sizes, it is the precision-engineered solution for
flanged joints, manholes, and other high-temperature, high-pressure applications.
During the rolling-up of a profile metal tape a filler is being included, It include PTFE or expanded graphit or non asbesots.
The v-profile metal tape is produced by different metal materials or steals. The flexibility of the gasket in pressing on
direction is being upgraded due to the v-shape cross-section.
